We are less than one month away from Dreamforce, so it’s the perfect time to recap what Salesforce has already announced for this year DF (sure they still have plenty of surprises for us). Here is a list with top announcements:
1 – Women’s Leadership Track
Dreamforce will give the stage to women, hoping to inspire everyone in the tech industry to gender equality and inclusion. The focus is on women that have succeeded in predominantly male fields and can share their experience with other women. You can count with a group of powerful, influential and diverse women:
- Susan Wojcicki, CEO of YouTube,
- Mary Molony, CEO of Coder Dojo,
- Lyndsey Scott, talented actress, model and app developer,
- Jessica Alba, actress and co-founder of the Honest Company.
2 – Dreamforce Dreamboat
If you ever attended to a Dreamforce you know how hard can be to find a hotel to stay. To add accommodations Dreamforce partnered with Celebrity Cruises and announced the Dreamboat. This year you can stay in a cruise ship that will be docked at Pier 27 throughout the conference. Salesforce is promising nightly entertainment and different activities on board the Dreamboat, so it should be quite an experience.
3 – Foo Fighters at Dreamforce
Dreamforce never disappoints when it comes to the bands performing at the Gala. This year is no exception. Twenty years since their first album was released, Foo Fighters will perform at Dreamforce. They sure will bring great energy to the event and put out a concert that you will never forget.
4 – Small businesses big impact contest
Earlier this summer Salesforce announced the “Small Business Big Impact” contest, aiming to highlight the most innovative entrepreneurs and inspiring small business solutions. Since then, they received more than 500 entries. The winner will be announced at Dreamforce and will receive $50,000 in prizes.
Salesforce has also announced the judges for the contest:
- Russell Simmons, business and media leader, co-founder of the hip hop label Def Jam and the clothing fashion line Phat Farm;
- Lisa Chow, award-winning reporter with great stories about business and innovation,
- Byron Deeter, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners,
- Daniel Debow, senior vice-president of emerging technologies at Salesforce.
5 – Celebrating Admins
Add this date to your calendar: Thursday, September 17 will be an official Admin Day. Salesforce has unveiled enough details to make us slobbering for more: Admins can count with special treats, contests to meet MVPs and a surprise at the Dream Park involving Airstream. Also, there will be the first official Salesforce Admin Keynote.
But there is more, for the second time, there will be a designated Admin Zone at Dreamforce, located on the second floor at Moscone West. This year it comes with a great addiction there will be live podcasts taking place the entire week of the conference from the Admin Zone.
